39-00 Division of Undergraduate Studies

39-20 Admission

Admission or re-enrollment of a candidate to the Division of Undergraduate Studies is granted under conditions stated in Sections 02-00 through 18-00 and 58-00 in this document.

39-50 Enrollment Time Limit

With the approval of the director of the Division of Undergraduate Studies, a candidate may be enrolled in the division for one or both semesters of the first year and up to a maximum of any two semesters beyond the first year.

Note: While there are no specific restrictions as to which of the two semesters beyond the first year the candidate spends in the division, baccalaureate degree candidates who have completed more than 60 credits and associate degree candidates who have completed more than 30 credits are required to consult with and gain the support of the college or major to which change of major is sought before admission to the division can be considered.

39-80 Completion of Enrollment

A candidate who has completed the allowed period of enrollment in the Division of Undergraduate Studies (as defined by Section 39-50) and who fails to meet the change-of-major requirements of a college and major is not permitted to continue as a degree candidate at the University until the change-of-major requirements, as defined by the policies of the college and major, are met (see Section 37-30).
